Senior Business Development Manager (Sales GM)

About the role:
Riolo Transportation, Inc. is currently seeking a highly experienced, innovative and creative business development leader to join our 3PL logistics management team for our national sales division.

This is an opportunity for a results-oriented candidate that fosters an innate understanding of sales, that in addition has spent numerous years in personal development, mastering your craft and developing long-term client relations. As a Business Development Team Leader (GM), you will be responsible for selling Riolo Transportation Inc’s 3PL services that will be tailored for highly targeted clients. The ideal candidate is well studied, knowledgeable and manages themselves well on the phone with a high level of enthusiasm, and is skilled at building rapport with prospective clients.

About you:
You’re a highly experienced truckload logistics expert —a self-starter with a proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing business with a minimum of $2M in annual revenue. You’ve created your own brand and image within the full truckload 3PL sector and are interested in a role offering the opportunity and scalability to build a diverse client-partnership network. In addition, you care about what you do and how you impact the community. You’re also interested in partnering with a company driven by new thinking and new ideas, and you know you can contribute and make a significant impact to our model.

Job responsibilities:
• Strategically build long-term business relationships to enhance market position
• Onboard new business directly with key stakeholders and decision makers
• Innovate improvements in the customer experience to build brand loyalty
• Innovate fresh sales strategies for targeted demographics of clientele
• Lead daily sales strategy planning huddles and regular mastermind sessions
• Coordinate, direct and manage all aspects of the sales cycle from incoming or outbound lead generation through contract closure.
• Create presentations/Pitch-decks/Video Content for prospects and LinkedIn
• Team Development - Recruiting strategies/implimentation/Leadership
• Collaborate accross multiple departments and cultivate positive internal relationships
• Identify, target, and secure new business through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities.
• Drive results through strategic business plan activities and relationship management, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty
• Develop and manage key internal and external cross-functional relationships, including senior leadership
• Maintain ongoing pipeline strategies of newly targeted business opportunities and accounts.
• Collaborate with executive, senior management and functional managers as needed
• Effectively leverage company resources/tools to maximize business results (marketing materials, speaker programs, regional trade shows).
• Demonstrate a high level of accountability for all administrative tasks (SalesForce utilization, performance metrics, market analysis, and weekly updates, etc.)
• Identify, engage, and procure new talent to build the National Business Development Team.
• Assist in developing case studies, blog posts, email campaigns, thought leadership articles, and other marketing collateral materials as directed.
• Understand market pricing dynamics and communicate routinely to the business with recommendations.

Requirements:
• Five years minimum experience in truckload logistics sales
• Bachelors or an MBA - (MBA preferred)
• Deep understanding of market analysis and CRM funnel sales strategies
• Proven sales track record of $2M+ of Annual Revenue
• Assist in marketing and inside sales teams with lead generation efforts, message positioning, trade show, and prospect development efforts.
• Track record of achieving sales targets and maintaining client relationships multiple years in a row
• Proven competence in a highly consultative sales environment
• Demonstrated experience in SPIN, CHALLENGER, or other similar selling strategies
• Proven C-level sales relationship development experience.
• Excellent negotiation, organizational, analytical, verbal, and written skills

Compensation: 75,000 - $150,000 +

This role offers a flexible work schedule (no weekends). You’ll start with one week of paid vacation to be used any time in the first year, with additional vacation accrued thereafter. There is opportunity to be based on-site in our location in the heart of Leucadia, CA, three blocks from the beach (Our Primary Campus), or work remotely from anywhere in the US.
